I can see

magic invades the spotlight as soon as alarm is set
and miracles curfew is impending
fragile little chances hang air-suspended
waiting to be stabbed
rains with prizes and feels hellishly beautiful
curfew impending
as reality stabs our dream-puffy eyes.
how we expected it reality alarmists scaremongering, marionetish-pulling, clutching to the bottom of our weightless curtains,
torturing our weightless curtains.
the way we wanted it

only the forbidden fits inside
our widely open delusion-screens
headtrip with me skyward
because we know it will be over

the cat is in the cupboards among the cups and the glasses. now. now.

no really. now
